Theft of Auto – Cypress Bowl Road

● Vehicle stolen from work site

● Tools stolen from other vehicles on work site

Theft From Auto – Ambleside Area

● Unlocked vehicle on residential street. Sunglasses, clothing, camera equipment & phone stolen

Theft from Auto – Dundarave Area

● Unlocked vehicle parked on residential street. Sunglasses, personal & phone accessories stolen

Theft From Auto – Cypress Bowl Road

● Window smashed on vehicle parked at roadside while owner was mountain biking

● Backpack & personal accessories stolen

Theft From Auto – John Lawson Park

● Vehicle inadvertently left unlocked in public parking area. Bank & credit cards stolen from wallet

Theft From Auto – Horseshoe Bay Area

● Damage to driver’s door lock discovered, along with cash, ID & bank cards missing from glove box

● Unknown theft location. Vehicle had been parked during daytime visits to local area parks

● Portable fuel tank & fuel stolen from unsecured cargo area of pickup truck parked on street

● Unlocked vehicle. Personal cosmetics in vehicle stolen

● 15 Shoplifting Reports since April 18th Crime Alerts – 14 in Taylor Way / Marine Drive Area, one in Horseshoe Bay area

FRAUD

Fraud – Community Centre Area

● Resident contacted via Social Media & offered opportunity to enter lottery

● Victim complied with request to send payment for tickets by gift cards before realizing a scam was in progress

Fraud – Cypress Bowl Rd

● Resident deposited cryptocurrency to online account before realizing it was a scam

Fraud – Ambleside

● Resident received call from suspect claiming to be security staff at their bank

● Victim complied with request to purchase gift cards & transfer funds to suspect to test bank responses
