Officers have responded to 221 calls for service since our January 29th update.
Quick Report – Chronic Offender In Custody
Prompt, safe action by loss prevention staff this week helped officers land a known prolific offender in custody headed for a court appearance.
Accurate information from staff of the Marine Drive/Taylor Way area retail shop included details of the observed offence, suspect description, and direction of travel, all provided from a safe distance.
The information helped responding officers quickly locate the suspect at nearby transit stop, where the known prolific offender was arrested without incident & held for court.
Theft – Summary
13 Shoplifting reports have been received in West Vancouver since our January 29th update. One was from the Ambleside Business District. All others were from the Marine Drive / Taylor Way area. With the assistance of Loss Prevention Staff suspects have been identified and arrested in 10 reports.
