Bicycle Registration 529 Garage

Make it harder for thieves to steal your bicycle and easier for you to get it back if it’s stolen.

West Vancouver Police have joined a growing number of police agencies in BC partnering with 529 Garage, a community-based bicycle registration and recovery service.

Join the community

You can’t keep an eye on your bicycle all the time, but when you join the 529 Community, you’ll know that if it’s ever taken, you can count on the community to be on the lookout.

Who can join?

Anyone can join, but keep in mind that we are only able to provide decals to residents of West Vancouver. If you live outside of West Vancouver, please visit the 529 Garage website to find a registration station near you.

If we find someone else in possession of your bicycle

Information on 529 Garage can help police quickly clarify ownership during investigations and get your bicycle back where it belongs, even if you don’t know it’s stolen yet.

Register your bicycle for free

It only takes about 5 minutes with the 529 Garage app to preserve information and photos about your bicycle. If it’s ever stolen, you’ll have what you need to report the theft to police and your insurance company.

Tamper-proof shields

Tamper-proof stick-on 529 Shield decals let thieves know that your bicycle has a whole community looking out for it.

If you live in West Vancouver, to pick up a free 529 Shield decal, please visit the West Vancouver Police front desk during regular business hours (9am-5pm Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays).
