COMMUNITY

The West Vancouver Police Department is committed to building and fostering strong community ties. We recognize that a collaborative approach with the community is fundamental to keeping the municipality safe and our citizens satisfied. The Community Services Team is founded on actively promoting relationships with the community by attending public events, delivering crime prevention presentations, and protecting our vulnerable population with outreach programs. We work in partnership with many organizations to fulfil these objectives.

The Community Services Team takes a proactive role in educating and providing resources to our most vulnerable communities, such as: seniors, people suffering from mental health, youth, and the unhoused. We also have dedicated officers that work within the school to further teach about safety and connect with our youngest population. Lastly, the team often partners with our Integrated First Nations Unit at events to continue our ongoing commitment at strengthening relationships with First Nation partners.

The Community Services Team is primarily responsible for organizing and attending all community and fundraising events. We encourage you to introduce yourself if you see us in the district.
