INFORMATION ABOUT THE NORTH SHORE YOUTH ACADEMY:

Attention North Shore students (North and West Vancouver), grades 10-12! We are excited to announce our upcoming North Shore Youth Police Academy designed specifically for individuals interested in operational or front-line policing. If you are passionate about pursuing a career in law enforcement, this is a fantastic opportunity for you.

During the academy, which spans over 4 or 5 days, participants will have the chance to experience various aspects of policing. This includes engaging in police physical training such as running, hiking, and weightlifting, as well as learning about K9 services, traffic services, community policing, forensics, and other specialty units including BC Ambulance and WV Fire and Rescue.

The primary goal of this program is to empower youth by fostering teamwork, mental resiliency, leadership skills, mentorship, and providing a foundation in basic law enforcement skills. These skills will not only benefit participants in their potential future careers but also in their everyday lives.
