West Vancouver, B.C.-A tragic early morning collision has resulted in the death of two people, closing Highway 1 westbound and blocking traffic en route to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal.
Last night at approximately 11:40 pm, a vehicle travelling eastbound in the westbound lanes near Westport Rd caused a head-on collision, resulting in the tragic death of two people and sending the remaining passengers to hospital.
The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service is currently on scene investigating. Westbound traffic on Highway 1 is closed at Westport Rd, with alternative routes available via Exit 4 and Marine Drive. Access to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal is blocked at this time.
