West Vancouver Police Seek Witnesses to Conflict Following Vehicle Incident

File: 25-10663

West Vancouver, B.C. – A concerning interaction on Taylor Way leads WVPD to ask for witnesses and dash-cam footage

On Friday, October 10th, 2025, at approximately 5:04 pm, an incident between two motorists occurred in the southbound lanes of Taylor Way at Marine Drive in West Vancouver. A 74-year-old female driving a 2010 grey Honda CR-V was in the left-hand lane when a grey pickup truck turned into that lane from the East and allegedly made contact with her vehicle. Both drivers exited their vehicles, after which it is reported that the male driver of the pickup truck started yelling, grabbed the woman’s arm, took a cell phone from her hand and held it over his head, asking her if she wanted it back. He is then accused of throwing the phone across several lanes of traffic before returning to his vehicle and driving away.

The male driver is described as being in his mid-50s, approximately 6 feet tall, of a medium build, with grey hair and a short grey beard. He was driving an older model, early 2000s Chevy Silverado pickup truck with damage to the passenger side.

We are looking to speak with the male driver of the Chevy Silverado. Additionally, as traffic was heavy and moving slowly at the time, we are hopeful that there are witnesses to this event who can provide valuable information about what occurred. Anyone with dashcam footage or relevant information is asked to contact the West Vancouver Police Department at 604-925-7300 and quote file # 25-10663.
