West Vancouver, B.C. – The West Vancouver Police Department is sharing a new composite photograph in an effort to generate new information
On May 4th, 1999, the body of an adult male was discovered in a green tent southeast of Eagle Lake, also known as Dick Lake, in the mountains above West Vancouver. The evidence suggests that he was living in the tent and likely died sometime in 1998.
He was approximately 5’6” tall and 150 lbs, with short grey hair and distinctive teeth. He was estimated to be between 40 and 70 years old. He used reading glasses, which were located along with a hammock and other personal effects in the mountains where he was staying. Photographs of these items are available below.
“While it has been some time since this gentleman passed away, we are hoping this new composite photograph will help jog the memory of someone who remembers him”, says Suzanne Birch, spokesperson for the West Vancouver Police Department. “We would very much like to find out who he is, and, if possible, provide some measure of comfort to family and friends who may be missing him”.
