Thefts
Please remain alert to any suspicious activity or persons in your neighbourhood. Our Crime Alerts this week include a surge of thefts, theft attempts, and a Theft of Vehicle in the upper Dundarave area just below the highway. An unsecured vehicle was stolen from a residential drive. Two thefts from vehicles and two attempted thefts from vehicles were reported. All reports involved vehicles left unsecured with valuables inside.
Grad Season Continues
299 calls for police service in West Vancouver over the past week continues an annual trend upward as the end of the school year arrives. We wish all 2025 Grads a happy & safe celebration. The approach of summer can also bring an increase in disturbance related behaviours in neighbourhoods, parks & public areas. Please don’t hesitate to call West Vancouver Police if you’re concerned about any large gatherings involving excessive noise, liquor act violations or property damage.
Summer & Wildfire Dangers Preparation
A wildfire related State of Emergency declared this week in Squamish, highlights the need to be personally prepared for the possibility of wildfires in our region, particularly in the urban/forest interface areas across the North Shore. Please take steps now with your loved ones and neighbours to review your own risk & preparations!

The Alertable App

We urge you to click nsem.ca/alertable/ for information on installing the Alertable app on your smart phone. North Shore Emergency Management uses Alertable to send out alerts for all types of emergencies, including wildfires, severe weather, disasters, industrial hazards, and transportation accidents or marine spills. Alertable is free to download for iOS & Android smartphones. Alerts are also issued if you need to evacuate or shelter-in-place, or if there is an Amber Alert. Notifications are fast, reliable, and easy to see and hear.

You can also prepare now for possible emergency by pro-actively self registering on-line for Emergency Support Services. Click ess.gov.bc.ca for more information and links to self register.
