B&E(Residential) – Ambleside/Hollyburn Area

  • Suspects broke in through upper floor balcony window
  • Alarm system not set
  • Upper floor bedrooms & home office targeted

B&E(Residential/Multi-Unit) Taylor Way/Marine Drive Area

  • Suspect pried & forced lock on parking garage gate of multi-unit building
  • Nothing stolen. Investigation to identify suspect ongoing

B&E (Commercial) – Ambleside Business District

  • Overnight break-in to building telecommunication room.
  • Batteries & charger stolen. Room possibly left unlocked

B&E(Construction Site) – West Bay Area

  • Rear patio door pried on residential construction site
  • No access gained to upper floors. Nothing stolen

THEFT

Recovered Stolen Auto – Cypress Park Area

  • Report received regarding large pickup truck left in neighbourhood for several days
  • Attending officers confirmed vehicle & plates had been reported stolen
  • Vehicle seized for return to registered owner

Theft from Auto – Taylor Way / Marine Drive Area

  • Rear passenger window smashed on vehicle in retail parking area
  • Duffel bag containing clothing stolen

Theft – Shoplifting – Summary

  • Nine Reports since last update
  • All from Taylor Way / Marine Drive Area

FRAUD

Fraud – (Fake Bank Security – 2 Separate Reports) Ambleside Area

  • Reports from two separate residents
  • Both reported suspect caller claiming to be staff at their personal bank
  • Suspect claimed suspicious activity had been noted on their accounts
  • Victims were advised to transfer money for safe keeping
  • Both complied before recognizing a fraud and lost funds

OTHER

Warrant – Ambleside Business District

  • Report received of male stumbling into traffic
  • Subject located, moved to safety & identified
  • Male found to be subject of warrant regarding Sexual Assault charge
  • Held for court
