  • Forced entry to apartment building meeting room.
  • Keys stolen from custodian cabinet

B&E(Garage) – Westport Area

  • Bicycle stolen after break-in to unsecured garage

B&E(Multi-Unit Building) – Dundarave Area

  • Break-in to apartment suite. No forced entry
  • Electronics, bank & ID cards, precious metals, car & house keys stolen

B&E(Attempted) – Eagle Harbour Area

  • Pry marks & damage discovered on door and key lock box of home unattended over weekend
  • No entry gained. Nothing stolen

THEFT

Theft / Threats – Taylor Way / Marine Drive Area

  • Shoplifter challenged by retail security. Suspect produced a knife then fled
  • Investigation to ID suspect ongoing

MISCHIEF

Mischief – Ambleside Business District

  • Multiple posters glued to exterior windows of business premise

Mischief – Taylor Way / Marine Drive Area

  • Suspect seen pressing on and damaging screens on devices at electronics retailer
  • Investigation ongoing

FRAUD

Fraud(Distraction) – Taylor Way / Marine Drive Area

  • Customer paying for large purchase counted out & presented cash, then abruptly asked to recount it
  • Staff noticed after suspect left that during 2nd count some of the bills had been removed before money was handed back to cashier

Fraud (Online) – Horseshoe Bay Area

  • Resident responded to online pop-up alert falsely claiming his computer had been infected with a virus and offering contact with company to fix the issue
  • Personal & other information obtained by suspect before victim recognized it was a fraud
