B&E Residential – Sentinel Hill / Burley Park Area

  • Suspects broke in through rear ground level glass doors
  • No alarm triggered

B&E Residential – McKechnie Park Area

  • Suspect or suspects broke into upper floor primary bedroom
  • Alarm not triggered. Personal safe targeted.
  • Cash, jewelry, bank cards stolen

THEFT

Robbery(Attempted) – Marine Drive / Taylor Way Area

  • Youth suspect approached youth victim demanding shoes
  • Suspect presented weapon. No theft completed. No injury
  • Suspect located by patrol officers, identified and arrested

Theft from Auto – Horseshoe Bay Area

  • Resident noted unknown male in friend’s vehicle, knew friend was away
  • Suspect left in a second vehicle upon noting he had been seen
  • Personal items, garage door remotes stolen

Theft (Shoplifting) – Attempted – Marine Drive/Taylor Way Area

  • Suspect entered store wearing mask, selected several jackets, attempted to leave
  • Staff had locked doors & were unresponsive to suspect’s request to open them
  • Suspect dropped all items & was allowed to leave

Theft – Shoplifting – Summary

  • Seven reports since last update. One involved theft values exceeding $5000
  • All from Marine Drive/Taylor Way Area
  • With assistance of security staff, suspects identified & arrested in three reports
  • Four reports remain under investigation

Theft from Auto – Ambleside / District Hall Area

  • Theft of insurance documents from unlocked vehicle on residential street

Theft of Mail – Dundarave Residential Area

  • Locking mailbox of single family residence broken into. Unknown what mail was stolen

MISCHIEF

Mischief – Ambleside Business District

  • Several unauthorized posters glued to windows of business
