On August 20, 2022, at 6:10pm, West Vancouver Police, West Vancouver Fire and Rescue, along with BC Emergency Health Services attended the 400 block of Keith Rd, West Vancouver for a report of a collision that involved multiple injuries.

The driver, a female in her 60s, was leaving her residence by way of a shared driveway when she collided with a group of individuals who were attending a wedding at the adjacent property.

Despite the efforts of witnesses and emergency services who attempted to render lifesaving assistance, two females in their 60s were pronounced deceased at the scene. Another seven individuals including the driver were sent to the hospital, two with life altering injuries.

Investigators from the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) were called out and traffic was shut down for part of the evening as ICARS conducted their investigation.
