West Vancouver-The West Vancouver Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest for several break and enters which have been occurring at the seasonal cabins located on Cypress Mountain, in West Vancouver.

On July 10, 2022, West Vancouver Police received a report of a break and enter at a cabin. A local resident witnessed the unidentified person inside the cabin and subsequently took a photo of the individual.

On November 28, 2022, West Vancouver Police received a report of a break and enter in another cabin on Hollyburn Ridge. The unidentified person was caught on CCTV cameras located inside the cabin.

These two reports are among 16 reported break-ins into the cabins.

The male is described as Caucasian male, slim build, approximately 150lbs standing weight, approximately 30 years old, wearing dark jacket and pants, a white trucker hat, scraggly brown hair, heavy-duty winter snow boots, and the male did not wear any gloves.

“This is concerning for the community that enjoys the cabins at Hollyburn Ridge” Says Cst. Nicole Braithwaite. “We want to make sure that people feel safe going to and spending time at their cabins.”
