PIC APPLICATION PROCESS

How do I apply for a Police Information Check?

West Vancouver Police Department will complete Police Information Checks for residents of West Vancouver only.

Police Information Check Applications can be submitted either on-line (link below) or in person at the West Vancouver Police Department.  Government issued ID is required for in-person applicants.

Applications are processed in order of date received. Normal processing time is 1-2 weeks.

Completed Police Information Checks will be mailed to the applicant’s home address upon completion or can be picked up at the Police office in person (email required for notification). Completed checks will only be released to the applicant and cannot be sent to an employer or agency directly.  Delays can occur in completing the search if we must verify data with other agencies, if fingerprints are required for some Vulnerable Sector applicants or to confirm a criminal record.
