West Vancouver – One person was arrested today after a small group of protestors attempted to impede traffic on Hwy 1.

Just before 8:00 am this morning, a group of 10 protestors gathered on the highway near Caulfeild, holding banners and using vehicles to block Westbound traffic.

After being asked to disperse by officers, all but one woman moved off the highway. This woman was arrested for obstructing the roadway and transported to cells where she is awaiting a bail hearing.

Westbound traffic was blocked for approximately 10 mins as a result of the gathering.
