West Vancouver – WVPD officers have arrested a man who was found in possession of multiple tools thought to have been stolen from a construction site in Horseshoe Bay.
On September 23, 2019 at 7:00 AM, officers were called to 6695 Nelson Ave, after construction workers noticed missing tools. The attending officer conducted an extensive search of the surrounding area, which included a forested area above the site.
The officer quickly stumbled upon the sleeping suspect, who was using a bag of allegedly stolen items as a pillow. The items were confirmed to be missing from the construction site below.
The suspect was arrested for possession of stolen property and further investigation revealed he was also the subject of two arrest warrants for unrelated offences.
The suspect, a 55-year-old man from Vancouver, was later transported to court.
It is believed that the theft of tools took place between September 21, 2019 and September 23, 2019 and the investigation is ongoing.
