Later today, June 5 2019, West Vancouver Police will participate in the North Shore leg of the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run.
Law enforcement staff and Special Olympics BC athletes will take to the streets with a message of respect and inclusion. The runners, including staff from both North Vancouver RCMP and West Vancouver Police, will depart the North Vancouver RCMP detachment at 2:30PM and make their way to the West Vancouver Police Department.
This event raises funds and awareness for Special Olympics BC’s life-changing year-round programs for people with intellectual challenges, and is part of a larger, four-day event from June 4-7. During this four-day event, participants will proudly carry the Flame of Hope through 16 Metro Vancouver communities. More than 400 law enforcement members and 50 Special Olympics BC athletes are expected to participate.
Come cheer on all the athletes and law enforcement staff! We hope to see you there.
