All of our graduates are first class, but we had an exception class in number 169 at the Justice Institute!

“At the JIBC graduation today for class 169, the WVPD was very well represented to say the least. All 3 of our recruits received prestigious awards:
- Cst. Pete Franks – Valedictorian Award (elected by class 169)
- Cst. Lucas Moroz – Patrol Tactics Memorial Award
- Cst. Alex Ridenour – Oliver Thomson Memorial Award for Physical Fitness
For added context, the graduating class was comprised of 59 recruits from different municipal agencies and there were only 6 awards to give out. For all 3 of our recruits to take home an award is an exceptional accomplishment. I couldn’t be any prouder.
