● Resident awakened by flashlight being shone through bedroom curtains in early morning

● Suspect fled. No entry gained. Nothing stolen

BNE Commercial – Taylor Way / Marine Dr

● Window smashed at retail liquor store. No entry gained

● Some products removed through broken window

THEFT

Theft of Boat (Recovered) – Fisherman’s Cove

● Report received of suspects outbound from Bowen Island in stolen boat towing a second craft

● Officers intercepted & arrested suspects at Fisherman’s Cove Wharf. Stolen boat returned

Theft – Horseshoe Bay

● Unsecured utility trailer stolen from residential parking area

Theft of Bicycle – Taylor Way / Marine Dr Area

● e-Bike stolen from unsecured parking area at multi-unit residential building

Theft from Auto – Taylor Way / Marine Dr Area

● Passenger side window smashed on vehicle in retail parking area

● Personal bags, ID, Bank cards stolen

MISCHIEF

Mischief – Caulfeild

● Glass door smashed at Caulfeild Elementary School. No entry to school gained

FRAUD

Fraud (Online Purchase) – West Bay

● Resident responding to online ad for used tires asked to send deposit to hold tires, & to attend WV residence for transaction ● Funds taken. Address given had no connection to apparently false social media account

Fraud (Cheque Overpayment Scam) – Taylor Way / Marine Dr

● Resident agreed to sell kitchen equipment to online buyer

● Buyer offered to pay with cheque for over agreed purchase price. Requested balance to be transferred back.

● Cheque confirmed as fraudulent after return transfer made

Fraud (Gift Card Scam) – Ambleside

● Resident eTransferred funds to buy gift card from individual known only through social media

● Funds taken. Social Media profile subsequently confirmed as fraudulent
