Break-ins

Storage lockers were a target of thieves in several reports this week. Scooters & other storage items were stolen from lockers in a multi-unit residential building in the Lions Gate Bridge area.  Two separate reports of thefts from unsecured storage sheds were received from homeowners in the West Bay / Altamont area. Security of personal storage should be reviewed as part of regular checks of your home & property security.

Theft

Officers are continuing to investigate a theft report in the Marine Drive / Taylor Way area in which a group of males confronted a victim brandishing a knife & bear spray.  Suspects stole the victim’s jacket & sandals before fleeing.

Meantime, a prompt report of theft from vehicles in progress in the Ambleside area ended with suspects in custody. Patrol officers responded to the area in early morning hours, located & identified 2 suspects & arrested both without incident.
