ASSAULT

Assault – Ambleside Park Area

● Male charged at and attempted to tackle officer conducting foot patrols

● Suspect arrested. No injury to officer. Male subject of additional arrest warrants in North Vancouver & Saanich

Assault – Marine Drive / Taylor Way Area

● Staff at retail outlet assaulted by female suspect. Suspect located & arrested

BREAK & ENTER

Break & Enter (Construction Site) – Marine Drive / Taylor Way

● Male suspect observed on surveillance video stealing wire coils from construction site

THEFT

Theft from Auto – Marine Drive / Taylor Way

● Retail security staff interrupted theft from vehicle in retail parking area. Suspect fled. Property recovered

Theft from Auto – Eagle Harbour Area

● Lock pried on pick-up truck in public parking area

Theft from Auto(Attempt)/Mischief – Gleneagles Area

● Windows damaged on vehicle in public parking area. Nothing stolen

Theft(Shoplifting) – Summary

● 13 Shoplifting Reports since May 9th Crime Alerts – All in Taylor Way / Marine Drive Area

FRAUD

Fraud – Online

● Resident received email from suspect posing as boss, requesting victim buy & transfer gift cards for use with other employees.

● Cards transferred before victim realized it was a scam

OTHER

Warrant – Taylor Way/Marine Drive Area

● During patrols to locate Theft from Auto suspect, male checked & identified

● Male subject of warrants related to separate Richmond RCMP investigations. Arrested without incident

Warrant – Taylor Way/Marine Drive Area

● Proactive patrols identified suspicious male.

● Male subject of warrants related to separate VPD, Transit Police investigations. Arrested without incident

Warrant – Taylor Way/Marine Drive Area

● Officers checked on unconscious male in retail area

● Male found to be subject of warrant issued for Westshore RCMP & arrested without incident
