Block Watch Helps

A series of thefts over the past weekend helped illustrate the value of your participation in Block Watch.

Early Sunday morning our Night Shift Patrol Team was alerted to a Theft from Auto in progress in the Cedardale area. Officers responded immediately.  A suspect was quickly found attempting a second offence and was arrested without incident.  Officers recovered property believed to be from additional offences in the area.

Officers canvassed door to door in the area to check for additional offences. Importantly, what also happened was prompt communication among neighbours connected through Block Watch. Following that communication, Police were also contacted with additional information & theft reports from residents who had been alerted by fellow Block Watch participants. Investigations can be helped significantly by neighbours remaining alert and contacting police whenever they see or become aware of something suspicious.

Citizen Satisfaction Survey

Officers & Civilian Staff of West Vancouver Police are committed to ongoing improvement in our service delivery. As a valued member of the community your feedback will help to ensure the police can positively contribute to the social wellbeing and safety of West Vancouver.  West Vancouver Police have partnered with an independent research consultant to input from residents of our community. Your input matters & we encourage you to participate.
