Today, Deputy Chief Constable Tom Wolff von Gudenberg had the honour of presenting Constable Bryce Wilkinson with the 2022 Alexa Award, created in memory of four-year-old Alexa Middelaer, who was tragically killed by an impaired driver in Delta, BC, in 2008. This provincial recognition celebrates the hard work and dedication of officers who remove a minimum of 12 impaired drivers from our roads within a calendar year. WVPD’s Cst. Bryce Wilkinson apprehended an astounding 78 high-risk drivers in 2022, significantly bolstering road safety in our community!

First responders like Cst. Bryce Wilkinson witness firsthand the devastating impacts of impaired driving. Being honoured through this program is a testament to his dedication and professionalism. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Cst. Bryce Wilkinson for his unwavering commitment to keeping our community safe!
